MAHSHAHR (FEPG) -- Fajr Energy Persian Gulf Company (FEPG), a key player in the energy sector, has announced the successful completion of a comprehensive overhaul of one of its power generation units in the special petrochemical energy zone, southwestern Iran.
With a staggering 42,000 person-hours dedicated to the endeavor, this
milestone marks a significant achievement in ensuring the reliability and
efficiency of vital power generation equipment within the complex.
Turbines for power and steam production are among the most critical
assets within the facility, playing a pivotal role in sustaining the operations
of petrochemical companies in the region. In recognition of their importance,
FEPG has implemented a meticulous maintenance plan to preserve these assets and
prevent any decline in their performance.
The autumn season, accompanied by decreased demand, presented an
opportune moment for the fundamental overhaul of turbines at FEPG's power
plants. Unit 3 of the region's power plant, having logged over 57,500
operational hours, underwent the meticulous process of disassembly, repair, and
replacement of intricate components.
Over a span of 70 days, FEPG's maintenance teams, in coordination with
operational units and technical services, dedicated themselves to the extensive
refurbishment, investing more than 42,000 person-hours into the project.
The overhaul encompassed 15 critical activities, including the repair
and replacement of turbine blades, combustion chamber refurbishment, complete
insulation restoration, filter replacement, and repair of pumps, electric motors,
and main transformers.
As the pulsating heart of the special economic zone's petrochemical
industry, FEPG shoulders the responsibility of producing and supplying
electricity, steam, air, and industrial water, as well as treating industrial
effluents within the petrochemical economic zone.
With a steadfast commitment to principles of sustainable and
uninterrupted production, the company's workforce has achieved new milestones
in consistent energy production and delivery to regional consumers, exemplified
by endeavors such as these essential overhauls across various units.
